Porcia Thurston Promoted to Senior Contracts Specialist

Faber recently announced the promotion of Porcia Thurston to Senior Contracts Specialist. Faber’s contracts specialist team – which it believes is unique among private law firms – includes an exceptional team of professionals (some without formal legal training and some with legal training). The team helps to effectively and thoughtfully address clients’ needs for day-to-day, high volume, template-based contracting support – including support on consulting agreements, non-clinical and clinical services agreements, clinical study agreements, etc.  Contracts specialists work side-by-side with, and under the supervision of, senior lawyers with deep experience in biopharma R&D contracting.

As a Senior Contracts Specialist, Thurston is working on a wider range of matters, including agreements for larger and more complex clinical studies, consulting agreements, non-clinical and clinical service agreements, and multi-party confidential disclosure agreements. “My new role gives me more opportunity to work with the firm’s biopharma clients who have more advanced clinical programs that often involve larger global studies.”

Prior to her time at Faber, Thurston worked as a contracts specialist with Impax Laboratories and Genentech, Inc. She also served as a clinical contracts and finance associate with Gilead Sciences, Inc. before joining Faber in 2016.
