Faber Promotes Local Art

June 2018

For the third consecutive year, Faber Daeufer & Itrato has chosen to be a Corporate Patron of the deCordova Sculpture Park and Museum in Lincoln, Massachusetts. With over 3,400 works in its collection and more than 60 sculptures in its 30-acre park, the museum is a showcase for contemporary New England art.

“We’re proud that our financial contribution will support deCordova’s mission to cultivate emerging local talent and offer programming that enhances public involvement with the arts,” says Joe Faber, a principal with the firm. “Our sponsorship gives us an opportunity to display beautiful samples from the museum’s collection in our Waltham office, serving as a consistent reminder of our commitment to the community.”

Each year, Faber staff members pick a number of works for temporary loan. “At this point, the museum can predict what we’ll like,” says Lynn Bourgeois, who says she always looks forward to the task. One of the pieces, a New England landscape by Lynette Shaw, now hangs in the firm’s lobby. “The artist blended sand with the paint, and visitors can’t take their eyes off it,” says Lynn.

Other pieces chosen this year were by Meredith Broberg, Brian Cohen, Alissar Langworthy, Lynn Peterfreund and Karen Stern.

Landscape, by Lynette Shaw, is on loan to the firm, in recognition of Faber’s support for deCordova.
